Medicare Solutions
Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older. You may be eligible to get Medicare earlier if you have a disability, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or ALS (also called Lou Gehrig's disease).
Some people get Medicare automatically; others have to actively sign up. You can get information from the Social Security Administration's website on which would apply to you.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage Plans, also called Part C, is a type of Medicare plan that will provide you with all of your Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, but can include additional coverage such as prescription drug, dental, vision and health wellness plans.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement Insurance, also known as Medigap, is a private form of medical insurance that covers out-of-pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare, such as deductibles, copayments and coinsurance. If you are enrolled in Medicare Part A and B and are 65 or older, you may be eligible for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
New to Medicare? Turning 65 soon?
The process for turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare involves understanding eligibility, enrollment periods, and coverage options to avoid penalties. Most people qualify for premium-free Part A, but Part B requires a monthly premium and typically needs active enrollment unless you are already receiving Social Security benefits.
